What’s a typical day in your current role at TSS?
Is there such a thing as a typical day within the events Industry? My day begins with a brew and a quick check over any emails that have come to see how these may adjust my day, after a quick check in With Nick I’ll crack on with quotes and designs!
What’s your favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of the job is working closely with clients to make their concepts and ideas become a reality there’s nothing I love more then being able to see the event in person and to see the excitement and enjoyment on all those attending the event and the clients!
What did you do before joining TSS? Why/how did you get into the industry?
Before joining TSS, I worked for Innovation Productions, however, my passion for the events industry began in school working on school productions and then moving up north to study at university, after Uni I got a job working at Leeds University as a Venue tech working on a variety of shows however most of my events were Live Music. From there I went and joined Innovation Productions as an Event Tech and over my employment, I progressed and became a Project Manager.
What is your favourite/most interesting/most unusual gigs/jobs you’ve done in the past?
Illuminate the Gardens, delivering an interactive walkthrough event at the botanical gardens in Sheffield, this involved over 300 Lighting fixtures illuminating trees, rocks, ponds and a 90m long greenhouse! This involved about 90 fixtures which we then timecoded a 10-minute show to songs from the movies. Every year imposed different challenges and new areas for us to light up but the end result was always amazing
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to either play games with my friends, watch a film with my partner or design cool things to 3D Print.
