Elijah

Warehouse Technician

Before joining TSS, I worked both freelance and employed doing lighting and sound in various venues, festivals and clubs up and down the country.

Why/how did you get into the industry?

I’ve been obsessed with the industry since a young age, I have a passion for events and shows.

I got into the industry by volunteering to work at shows, eventually that led to shadowing other techs which in turn, led to being paid for doing the job I love!

What are your favourite/most interesting/most unusual gigs/jobs you’ve done in the past?

Every show is different and it’s hard to pick my favourite, but I’d have to say running lights for Red Rum Club, Dub Pistols and The Buzzcocks are pretty high up there.

The most interesting gig I’ve done was Fat White Family, they had a very psychedelic intro to their set which I loved and the lead singer covered himself in butter which certainly made for a memorable experience.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to cook, especially for other people. Staying active and learning new skills are a big passion of mine. I’m currently learning to throw pottery which is as cathartic as it is messy. Love a bit of gardening, especially growing my own ingredients for meals.

What TV show is your guilty pleasure?

Love a bit of Doomsday Preppers

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Buy a kilo of Lurpac, some nice ham and a baguette and feel on top of the world.
