Funding Streams for Theatres and the Arts

There are a couple of schemes live at the moment that might be worth tapping into if you’re eligible to bolster your funds this summer.

Theatres Trust

The Small Grants Programme from the Theatres Trust provides grants of up to £5,000 for small capital works and plant and equipment to make theatres digital-ready.

So you could upgrade your lighting to LED, upgrade your analogue desks to digital or install a hearing loop.

All the details are here – if you need a quote to go with your application, just get in touch with the Projects Team.

Closing date for this round is 7th June 2024.

D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust

The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust is currently accepting applications for grants in the range of £500 – £6,000.

Its focus for the Arts is on 3 areas:

  1. Access and participation in the arts for those who have least access to them with emphasis on
choirs and singing to build community and bring people together
  2. Support for charities seeking to engage with, and inspire, young people on the fringes of society
through music and drama projects to improve their employability and diminish the risk of social
    exclusion
  3. Performance development opportunities in the performing arts for those in the early stages of their
    careers

If you’ve got a project that might be eligible, you can find the details here.

Closing date for this round is 23rd May 2024.
