Joining the team in 2017, Stephen assists Jonathan with all things Hire related.
What’s a typical day in your current role at TSS?
I don’t really have a, typical day at TSS I can be working in the office responding to our customers enquiries or organising the logistics for our jobs including crew and transport. I also spend time on site with our hire projects leading crews and seeing the results we deliver for our customers.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
The favourite part of my job is to realise our customers sometimes extravagant ideas, on site and see the result of this.
What did you do before joining TSS?
Before working at TSS I worked for another local production company as the warehouse manager, overseeing a busy schedule as part of this I learned a great deal about how equipment works as well as how to maintain it.
Why/how did you get into the industry?
I was interested in mainly live sound whilst at school and went on to a Music Technology course at the University of Huddersfield.
What are your favourite/most interesting/most unusual gigs/jobs you’ve done in the past?
I really enjoyed working on the Roses opening event, as it was an unusual set up up lighting a building but with a show element where the building itself became the backdrop to the action on stage.
What do you do in your spare time?
I have been involved with Archery for many years both competing myself and being involved in introducing new archers to the sport as a coach.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would buy a nice house
